What does ISO 22716 certification mean for your market?

ISO 22716 is the international Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard for cosmetics: it means production, hygiene, quality control and documentation follow that standard. It supports your market registration — but it does not by itself put your product on the market.

What does ISO 22716 cover?

It covers how a cosmetics factory works: the people and training, the premises and equipment, raw materials and packaging, production and quality control, the handling of finished products, and the records that prove what was done. In short, it is a system for making the same product, the same way, every time — and for proving it.

Which certificate does Amy Skin hold?

Our one verified claim is SGS ISO 22716 (Sanmusheng), a partner factory in Guangzhou, China. The certificate number and scope are still to be supplied (M2) and will be published on the certifications page when they are. Any other factory certification — including Moksha and Wangsha — is to be verified and is not claimed on this site until the certificate is seen.

What does ISO 22716 not do?

It does not replace your market's own steps. For the EU and UK, that usually means a safety assessment (CPSR), a product information file (PIF) and CPNP / SCPN registration. For the USA, that usually means facility registration and MoCRA listing. For other markets, it means local registration or notification. Those scopes are confirmed per order — see certifications by market.

What should you ask before you order?

Ask those three questions with your brief, and the answers become part of your order — not an afterthought.
