How to choose a private label serum formula?
Start with your market and your hero ingredient, not with a long ingredient list. Pick one clear story — brightening, hydration or anti-aging — then choose a ready formula or a custom formula that tells that story, and approve a sample before bulk production.

What should you decide first?
Three things. First, your market: EU, USA, Middle East or elsewhere, because the certification and claim rules differ. Second, the one skin concern your serum is for — brightening, dryness or firmness. Third, your hero ingredient: Vitamin C for brightening, Niacinamide for gentle brightening, Hyaluronic Acid for hydration, or Peptide for anti-aging.
Ready formula or custom formula?
| Option | When it fits | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Ready formula | You want the fastest launch | Already developed; go straight to sampling and packaging |
| Custom formula | You need your own texture, scent or ingredient story | Developed with the factory team; takes more time |
Most new brands start with a ready formula. Our 12 ready formulas include four serums: Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Peptide.
What does a good serum brief include?
- Your target market and the claims it allows
- Your hero ingredient and the story you want to tell
- Texture you prefer — light, rich, or in between
- Pack format: dropper or pump bottle
- Quantity per SKU (MOQ 1,000)
What happens after you choose?
